I had the same issue. All I did was re-choose my hotkeys and folders again. Even though it showed all my settings still the same after upgrade. I even chose the same hotkeys and folders it already showed.
Then I turned off shadowplay through geforce experience and turned it back on (the little light switch looking switch). Did not have to do anything else. No driver reinstall no other tricks.
I think this is a bug for those of us that have shadowplay set to boot up at windows start (Record Desktop Option On). Red slash gone and have no issues with shadowplay at all. I had the same issue. All I did was re-choose my hotkeys and folders again.

Oh my goodness. I think I love you. Thank you so, so, so much. When In start shadowplay It says activating, then the little Stream Icon at the top has a red slash through it. Yes i have the most recent Drivers I had the same problem, have you got Kinoni remote desktop (Kinoconsole) installed on your PC?

I stopped it from running and my problem with shadowplay was fixed. If you have it on there, try stopping it running and then try shadowplay again No problem I made an account, just to thank you. NOTHING ELSE WORKED. Thank you SO MUCH! Thankyou so much for this. I looked everywhere and couldn't find a fix, until now.
