Yaya Dub (Maine Mendoza) of the “Aldub” love team has witnessed the willingness of on-screen partner Alden Richards when it comes to learning how to play a musical instrument on Tuesday’s episode of the “Kalyeserye” segment on GMA Network’s noon-time variety show “Eat Bulaga!” It is one of Yaya Dub’s challenges for Alden before giving her response to the 24-year-old actor’s question last Saturday if she could be his girlfriend. Piano or guitar. A number of musical instruments surrounded Alden at the “Eat Bulaga!” studio such as the piano, guitar, ukulele, maracas and tambourine. However, Alden showed interest in playing the piano and the guitar. “Eat Bulaga!” hosts Pauleen Luna, Pia Guanio, Ruby Rodriguez, Allan K, Joey De Leon and Vic Sotto offered help in teaching Alden how to play a musical instrument. Alden was about to reveal the details about his preferred musical instrument and performance song for Yaya Dub but the “Kalyeserye” segment’s signature honk cut off Alden’s announcement. In today’s episode, Lola Nidora became emotional after grasping the reality that her granddaughter is now all grown up. Lola Nidora explained that she could not believe that Yaya Dub is inching closer to having a boyfriend. Lola Nidora initially disliked Alden for Yaya Dub.
However, Alden managed to surpass the challenges that Lola Nidora threw at him to prove that he is serious about Yaya Dub so the old lady eventually became more welcoming to her granddaughter’s suitor. On Monday’s “Kalyeserye” episode, Yaya Dub tried to announce Alden’s deadline in learning how to play a musical instrument but the sound of a horn interrupted her announcement. Yaya Dub explained that her first challenge will determine if Alden is capable of enduring difficult situations without getting irritated.
